The textile-influenced drawings explore openwork patterns from the 1600s to create a structural architecture for the work. This solid in contrast to the void surrounding it, references the relationship of the material to the immaterial. The works develop reflecting on how these two relate and are intertwined and the differences of time taken in making items by hand.
